Is it okay to wear a white cocktail dress after Labor day? —Amy

Signs point to yes! For some styling inspiration, here are three celebrities that I've spotted wearing white cocktail dresses post Labor Day:


  • Whitney Port's luxe satin blazer and embellished platforms give her cocktail dress a festive, holiday feel.
  • A black blazer and black pumps give Kristin Cavallari's white cocktail dress an instant fall makeover.
  • Leopard booties add edge to Ashley Tisdale's wintery white long-sleeve lace dress.

Me personally white is my fav color and never get tired of wearing it. I did tried white lace with leopard print and I am hooked now.

I'd wear white any time! I think the only time you can't wear white is when you're invited to a wedding.

I would love to wear my white sundress for winter but it would just be too cold to do that. However, if I found something in a fabric suitable for the weather I'd totally do white!
