My style icon? Rihanna. Her style is effortless. Formerly decked out in baggy jeans and plain colored tees during public appearances, she is now adorned from head to toe in everything from Christian Dior to Chanel pieces taken right off of the runway. Now, you can bet your bottom dollar she has kicked off those Nike Dukes for Louboutins. She does not hesistate to take fashion risks on the red carpet and during her concert shows. She goes from wearing a form fitting ball gown to a black corset attached to Daisy Dukes and a garter made out of chains. She has gone from shy teeny-bopper to mature woman in less than a year, and it is that progression that I hope to make when I move towards a professional career, albeit in a more subdued and work-appropriate fashion. I mean, really, with sleek black angled bob and fantastic sense of style, is there any question that Rihanna is every bit of a style icon?
