In this weekly column, I'm bringing you chic home décor products and ideas that won't break the bank. This week, I’m crushing on coral accents.
Radiant Orchard has made a name for herself as Pantone’s color of the year, but I think coral is the hue for the season at home. Coral touches in the home add a fresh perspective especially in the springtime and throughout summer, and will contribute to a happy blend of his-and-her décor choices. Remember last week’s grey bedroom? You can brighten up the space by adding a coral pillow and lamp without worrying your other half that the master suite will turn into the color of sherbet! If you want to change up your nautical inspired den, a striped throw will bring lots of new into your space for under $20.
I think there are a few colors that make the most impact: yellow, navy, and coral. The shown stackable box set is a good choice to hide clutter (it happens to the best of us) and will help you achieve that inspired bookshelf you pinned a few months ago. If you’re in doubt about lacquer, start with a small piece at home; it’ll still make a big impact but it won’t cost you a lot.
The most fun space to experiment with color is in the dining room or when entertaining. A set of colored glasses will set you back about $12, but imagine the impact when your guests arrive and see a decorated table. With coral glasses, you can reuse for Thanksgiving by mixing in deep red or berry linens and a bright green for the holidays to steer away from the usual tones.
1. Oh Joy! Vase, $10
2. Watercolor Pillow, $32
3. Patterned Storage Bench, $100
4. Hinged Wood Boxes (set of 2), $49
5. Happy Chic Bubble Lamp, $125
6. Happy Chic Laser-Cut Picture Frame, $18
7. Beach Stripe Throw, $20
8. Coral Tumbler (set of 4), $12
