Target announced its newest clothing line - AVA & VIV - a plus-size collection that will be designed in-house launching February 22 in stores and online. Tonight the brand is celebrating the launch with a party in NYC (follow @TargetStyle and the hashtag #AVAandVIV to see pics!)
AVA & VIV features "stylish basics along with trend-driven statement pieces" and will be updated monthly similar to Target's other apparel lines, with prices ranging from $10 to $79.99.
“Target is synonymous with great design, and with the launch of AVA & VIV, we’re stepping up our fashion game for our Plus-size guests,” said Stacia Andersen, senior vice president, merchandising, apparel and accessories, Target. “From stylish original prints to the attention to detail and fit, this line is meant to impress and we can’t wait to share it with our guests.”
In anticipation of the launch, Target invited top fashion bloggers Nicolette Mason (NicoletteMason.com), Chastity Garner (GarnerStyle.Blogspot.com) and Gabi Gregg (Gabi Fresh.com) to its headquarters in Minneapolis to preview the line. Not only did they get a sneak peek of AVA & VIV, these trend-setting ladies had a chance to offer their stylish two cents on designs that were in progress for the fall.

I'm so happy Target is bringing back plus-sizes in stores (remember Pure Energy?). I see some cute, young pieces in this collection, like the black and white tulip skirt, the army jacket and the printed wide leg pants and tie-waist top set. And let's not forget, the next designer collab with Lilly Pulitzer will also offer plus sizes (although this will be online only, unfortunately).
