Target has teamed up with designer Eddie Borgo to create a first-of-its-kind limited-edition collection of customizable jewelry, accessories and wall art. Borgo, whose luxe designs are sold at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman, to name a few - was inspired by the craft culture of the 1960s and 1970s in designing the collection, which features jewelry and accessory items (such as a handbag, necklace or earrings) that customers can then adorn with charms, studs and totems boasting geometric shapes and symbols inspired by sculptural art and architecture. Silver, gold and rose gold combined with materials like hand-poured resin, brass mesh and chains give the collection an on-trend, luxe feel.

Last night, Target and Eddie Borgo celebrated the launch at an event in New York City, where guests got to create their own pieces from the collection. You can see photos from the party and sneak peek photos of the jewelry itself below.
I might be in the minority here but I've never been a huge fan of customizable jewelry - I guess I just want the designer to do the work for me. Still, I'll be curious to see the line in person.
Eddie Borgo for Target launches July 12 at select Target stores and Target.com, and includes more than 100 items with most pieces under $30.
