Think You Can't Rock A Hat? These Three Looks Will Change Your Mind

I have always loved wearing hats, but I'm well aware that not everyone feels the same way (fear of hat hair or looking "silly" are among the many excuses, er, reasons I often hear from friends who are hat-averse). While a hat may seem like an unnecessary accessory - guess what? - summertime is the perfect time to bust out your hat collection! Not only will you look totally chic, you’ll also be making smart skin decisions. Trust me, your skin will thank you in the long run. And if you think it’s hard coming up with practical outfits to go with your hats, it’s not. It’s so easy! Read on for 3 cute and cheap ways to rock headwear this season:

Fabulously Floppy:
There is not a more chic look out there than the floppy hat. It pairs up so easily with just about any look; from your Sunday best to your lazy beach days, floppy hats go with anything. You can even choose to let your hat just add to your look or make it the star of the show. To make it stand out, pick a unique color, like a pink, then simply complete your look with neutral tones. A breezy white dress will keep you cool and keep your hat at center stage. Then a nice pair of tan sandals and crossbody will finish off your summery look. Wa la! Your hat is a star.

Beautifully Ball-Capped:
If the floppy hat isn’t your thing, then the baseball hat probably is. Baseball hats have always been one of my favorite things to pull over my head, because it’s so casually stylish, and you get to support your favorite team while doing it. For this look you keep things comfortable. First pick out a hat with a recommendation from your favorite team. (Not into sports? Try a baseball cap in chambray or leopard print instead.) Then find a stylish matching tee and a great pair of jean capris. Finish the look off with a pair of light tennis shoes, and you're effortlessly rocking a hat.

Wonderfully wrapped:
Ok so this one technically isn’t a hat, but it will keep the sweat out of your eyes, and it will keep the sun from burning your part! A beautiful wrap can really complete an outfit. Start by picking out a dark, yet playful base like this dark blue jumpsuit. Then, to match, find a head wrap with a complementary color (for instance, blue and orange are complementary). Finish the look off with some wedges and a satchel, to complete the laid-back look while still looking totally on trend.
