Spring Beauty Essentials: Holographic Highlighters

Holographic Highlighters
It's time to get glowing! This season beauty editors are swapping out the gold and champagne shades for prismatic, out-of-this world hues. Featuring pastel purples, blues, pinks and pearlescent whites, each product offers a multidimensional highlight packed with just the right amount of shimmer. Unique yet subtle, these options are sure to stand out and are the perfect option to light up your day or night!

We've rounded up our favorite brands with options for every budget and are sharing tips on how to look bright, refreshed and absolutely stunning for spring. Read on to get all the details...

1.Stila Heaven's Hue Highlighter in 'Transendence', $32

An opalescent pink, this pressed powder melts into the skin for a barely-there feel and light diffusing particles create an ethereal glow. I'm obsessed with this shade and Stila products have been a staple in my makeup bag for years!

2. BECCA Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfector in 'Prismatic Amethyst', $38

BECCA's Shimmering Skin Perfector in 'Champagne Pop' has been my go to since it debuted, but when I saw this lavender duo chrome I knew I had to get it. The pinky hue brings out the natural blush in your cheeks and adds a youthful glow, plus the pan is large so it lasts for months and months.

3. Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Palette, $32

This palette has four pans in the shades 'green emerald,' 'ultra-violet amethyst,' 'blue saphyre,' and 'pink opal.' Kat Von D products are known for their bold hues and lasting staying powder, so this is the go-to palette if you're looking to make a statement

4. Colour Pop Pearlized Highlighter in 'Monster', 'Stole the Show', and 'Honeymoon', $8 each

Not sure if you'll love this trend? This option combines affordability with a wide variety of hues so you can find which one works for you before making a serious commitment. This formula is Colour Pop's signature Super Shock Formula so it's a creamy application with a powdery finish. Check out even more shades on Colour Pop's website.

5. Milk Makeup Holographic Stick in 'Supernova', $28

Perfect for on-the-go application, this stick has Milk's super blendable "Melt Technology" which infuses natural oils with the product to give you pigment with lasting hydration. The multi-dimensional silvery purple hue is unlike anything else in our round-up, plus the lightweight formula makes it easy to apply to bare skin — just swipe, glow and go!

6. Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in 'Moonchild', $40

Another pricey palette, but well worth it! Anastasia's Glow Kits are a cult staple and this palette encompasses all the intergalactic hues necessary to create a prismatic glow. This option offers both warm and cool tones so you can combine and layer to create your perfect look.

Pro Tips:
Sweep the shades against the tops of cheekbones, just under brows, down the length of your nose and dab above your cupid's bow to emphasize all of the areas where the sunlight hits your face naturally. If you want to maximize your glow, amp up the drama by dusting along your collarbone to emphasize your décolletage.

Looking for a more intense shimmer? Use a wet sponge or brush to apply and finish with a setting spray.
