It's still early in the fall season but I did a little trendspotting during my last trip to Target. From camo print to crushed velvet, here are 7 trends to look out for on your next Target run.
1. Varsity Vibes
I spotted a number of cardigans and bomber jacket style sweaters with a collegiate/varsity vibe. The sporty details are an extension of the ongoing athleisure trend.

You could layer this sporty stripe tennis dress with a denim jacket for back-to-school.
2. Feminine Details
Lace, ruffles and embroidery continue to shine on feminine blouses and dresses for fall. I liked a lot of the pieces from the Knox Rose line. Some pieces channel the Victorian trend while some feel more bohemian.

3. Velvet
We see this fabric come back every other season for fall. Try it on a shoe or off-the-shoulder top to add some luxe texture to your fall looks.

4. Camo/Utility Dressing
Camo print is back again for fall. I think one of my best purchases of the summer was my simple camo tee from Target! They have a new print for fall that I'm thinking of getting, too. I've also seen the print on Knox Rose joggers. Utility jackets and olive green pants are all still on-trend classics.

5. Shades of Pink
I'm seeing lots of dusty rose, mauve and millenial pink for fall. It's flattering and easy to mix and match. Pick up a few layering tees in this shade to update your look.

I picked up this soft tee for $7 in "berry maroon". I also love the vest - looks like Patagonia! $34.99 by Mossimo.

6. Lace-Up Detailing
Don't get rid of your sweatshirts with lace-up detailing just yet, this easy trend is back for fall. A fun way to add interest to casual basics!

7. Updated Denim
You'll want to grab some new colors for your denim collection, like dark wine, black, and gray, as well as jeggings with moto detailing. Also look for cool hem details from fringe to step-hems and more.

7. Slogan Tees
I'm not sure this is a trend per se but slogan tees are back for fall, many with a political message to mirror the times we live in. I like the NASA tee! The "Blessed" tee seems a bit dated (I say this as I drink my morning coffee from a "Blessed" mug lol).
