What to Wear with Peeptoes

Peeptoe booties are all the rage, as they say, but they leave many fashionistas wondering: Is it a shoe or a boot? Won't your toes get wet when it rains? How do you keep your feet from sweating and your toes from freezing? Well, I don't have all the answers, but I have found a solution to at least one of the aforementioned conundrums: Slip your tootsies into some toeless socks before donning your trendy toeless shoes for comfort and style you can count on! The toeless socks above can be purchased at Nordstrom.com on sale now for just $4.90. One word of advice: Unless you're, say, under 18, do not wear your toeless socks with a skirt or dress - please wear them under a nice pair of wide-leg slacks or bootcut jeans. I realize the shoes shown above are more like peeptoe oxfords, but the socks work well with peeptoe ankle boots, too. Additionally, you can wear your peeptoes barefoot, or with seamless-toe tights. And now, I'm feeling pretty peep-toed out.

How do you wear yours? Are you a fan of the peeptoe?

I am not a fan of this look at all. In general, I do not like the look of peep-toe booties, and they are impractical durin rainy days. I do love the look of oxford booties though.

Ahhh peep toe, my last vestige of spring and summer. I went through my closet last month and realized all my shoes are peep toes or open toes. They're the best excuse to get a pedi every week. And luckily living in Houston, I can wear them almost year round (except for the 1 week in Jan when it's actually cold).

I do draw the line at stocking with peep toes or open toed shoes. No thanks on the granny look.

Not a fan! I am jealous of the Houston reader though who only gets one very cold week in winter!

Mmm, not a fan. And I've gotta say the look on the left with all those fancy cutouts is a little dizzying!

A lot of my shoes are peeptoes but those are slingbacks and sandals. For oxfords and booties, I would prefer to have them sans the toe-exposure.

Am I the only one that thinks both those photos look a little slutty? I would not wear anything with peeptoes...

Peaches,

I agree and think they look very hooker-like myself. NOT a fan.

Honestly, I think the socks without toes look even more ridiculous than just wearing a closed toe with your peeptoes. Anyway, weren't full, opaque, TOED tights all the rage last year with everything, peeptoe and otherwise?

have to agree with peaches. i was actually thinking berlin circa 1932, kit kat club for the one on the left.
the one on the right reminds me of nun's shoes but the peep toe is not right with them. nuns never showed toes.
maybe times have changed.....
