Off the Rack: Spring Highlights at Old Navy

Cute spring dresses at Old Navy

During the holiday weekend, I hit up Old Navy to check out the new spring offerings. Everything in the store was 30% off - a deal that's still happening online at OLDNAVY.COM - plus they were giving $30 in Old Navy cash for every $50 spent. While this promotion is no longer going on in stores (at least not to my knowledge), there are still many reasons to head over to Old Navy: Let's start with the dresses. My photos don't really do these justice. All the pretty dresses in pink, white, and yellow looked really nice in person. Perfect for all those upcoming graduations and weddings, not to mention Mother's Day! I also saw a lot of amazing maxi dresses that will be perfect for summer. And for casual wear, lots of cute shorts and sandals to choose from. Some highlights for me included these silver wedges, this bucket bag, and this eyelet shift dress - all of which looked more expensive than they actually were. I didn't buy anything on this trip but my husband picked up some new clothes and we got some adorable items for my son, so I left with $60 in Old Navy cash that I look forward to spending soon. Yay, spring!

Ask BB: Designer Inspired Sporty Sandals for Less

I'm really into this spring's sporty sandal trend because I'm all about comfort. The problem is I'm coveting these high-end styles like this Marni, this Fendi, and this other Marni. Can you suggest any similar styles that won't break the bank? —Cathy N.

Sporty Sandals for Spring

Thanks to high street brands like Topshop, we've got plenty of sporty sandals for spring under $100.

Let's start with the Topshop "Hydrate" ($35, NORDSTROM.COM):

Deal du Jour: Joie Clothing and Sandals on Rue La La

Joie sale at Rue La La

Rue La La is having a major sale on Joie clothing and shoes today that you won't want to miss! I'm really into Joie at the moment after seeing Taylor Sterling, editor-in-chief of The Glitter Guide, wear her Joie sandals almost daily on Instagram. Yes, I'm sorta stalking her - along with 57k other people! So head to Rue La La if you share my obsession with this easy breezy modern brand but can't pay full price. Grab some effortless leather sandals for around $50 that you'll wear with everything from shorts to sundresses. Go, go, go!

The Look for Less: Barbour Waxed Jacket

A classic Barbour waxed jacket is $449 at BLOOMINGDALES.COM. A Barbour jacket has been on my wishlist for a while now - I've been eying their Beadnell at J.Crew but can't justify spending $349 at the moment, even though it's a definite investment piece that won't go out of style and I'll have it and love it for years to come. In case you're not familiar, Barbour is an English company that's been making weatherproof styles since 1894. I love a brand with history, and a piece of clothing that marries form with function.

But if you're like me and can't spring for the real deal at the moment, I found a great inspired-by design. Get the look for less with this MICHAEL Michael Kors jacket, $138 at NORDSTROM.COM.

And if that's still too much, this H&M jacket has a similar vibe and costs just $50:
