Here's My Review of the Adam Lippes for Target Collection Complete with In-Store Selfies and 35+ Pics!

Review of the Adam Lippes for Target collection at thebudgetbabe.com fashion blog
I had a feeling that the Adam Lippes for Target collection wouldn't sell out as quickly as past designer collabs (cough, Lilly Pulitzer, cough) so yesterday I made my way to the nearest store in the afternoon and was happy to find a wide selection still in stock. In fact I think anything my store was carrying was still available in a range of sizes. Challenged to reinterpret classic plaid for the modern woman, Lippes delivered a collection of clothing and home decor with a rustic sophistication, that retails under $130.

Fall Fashion Highlights at Old Navy Include Plaid Pants, Grey Boots and Leopard Scarves

Old Navy fall fashion highlights
This week I did a little recon at Old Navy and found some solid pieces to share with all of you, including the elusive grey flat boot - a true grey, not greige or taupe for all of you who've been on the hunt - plus must-have accessories like leopard print scarves (just $8 online, wear with everything!) and work-to-weekend plaid ankle pants. So chic this time of year. I was also loving a plaid trapezoid bag (similar) but think I'd wait for a sale. The leopard ankle boots I ordered online are now in my store (argh!) and I'm not going to lie, they look kinda cheap close-up but from a distance, they'll do. Just make sure you get them on sale. And don't miss Old Navy's ponchos - these have finished edges and arm holes, an upgrade from the ones I bought at Walmart, so they cost a little more. Finally, Old Navy has lots of cute plaid shirts. You can never have to many! From trips to the apple orchard to the pumpkin patch to fall festivals, these are the easy-to-wear styles you'll want to stock up on.

Off the Rack: Fall Fashion Highlights at Walmart

Cute fall fashion finds at Walmart (yes Walmart!)
If you follow me on Instagram (@budgetbabe) then you've probably noticed that I've been shopping at Walmart lately - twice in the past week! I posted these plaid ponchos earlier, and now here are some more fashion highlights worth checking out. From a Pinterest-worthy scarf for $8.97 to casual-chic plaid shirts for $13.97, there's a lot to love right now at Walmart. Most of my finds are by the brand Faded Glory if you dare search walmart.com (it's pretty disorganized). I snagged one plaid shirt, two longline cardigans, a bunch of long sleeve layering tees, the plaid scarf and a leopard/black scarf two-pack. Oh, and a this felt hat! After baby comes, I'll go back for leggings - they have an incredible selection of leggings - coated, velour, fleece lined, prints and every fall color imaginable - for super cheap ($13-$15). My tip to help you stay focused and prevent overspending (easy to do when everything seems to inexpensive): Create a fall outfit board on Pinterest, plan which looks you want to recreate, then shop accordingly.

Off the Rack: LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's Runway Collection

LC Lauren Conrad Runway collection at Kohl's
Back in August we shared the news that Lauren Conrad would be unveiling her first runway collection for Kohl's during New York Fashion Week - did anyone watch the livestream on September 9? I have to confess, I forgot to watch (didn't see much buzz before the show) but I did check out the collection at my local Kohl's store this past weekend. That's right, this line went straight from the runway to the racks - and it's all on sale, too, priced from $27 to $150 (additional pieces online go up to $224).

Here's My Thakoon for Kohl's Review Complete with Dressing Room Selfies and In-Store Pics

A review of Thakoon for Kohl's
Earlier I shared some photos of celebrities wearing Thakoon for Kohl's, now here's my review complete with dressing room selfies! In many ways I have no business commenting on fit seeing as how I'm 30 weeks pregnant, but I can still comment on the styling and quality. Surprisingly many of the pieces were very flattering as "maternity" tops - I'm not sure that's the kind of endorsement DesigNation is looking for but it's true.
