Off the Rack: LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls Spring 2010 Collection

blink and you might miss the display! i found mine behind the simply vera vera wang section.

Last week I finally checked out the LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's Spring 2010 collection now that every store carries this line (or at least they should, ask your store manager if they don't). I gotta say I loved it because it strikes that perfect note of sweet but not sugary, cool but not trying-too-hard, wearable but still stylish. I bought the blue ruffle dress (looks great with heels), boyfriend blazer (can never have too many!) and two ruffle-front camis (one in pink, one in blue). They look just like the Rebecca Taylor camis LC wears in real life, sexy on their own and perfect for layering under a cardi, blazer or leather jacket. The leather jacket is hot and very buttery to the touch but I already own something very similar so I passed. Of course, I did not pay full price. Everything was 30% off, plus I signed up for a Kohl's charge and got an additional 10% discount. Why Kohl's keeps playing games with the sales, I will never know, no one pays full price but I guess it's all about the psychology of shopping! I know many of you are liking the latest spring offerings. Keep reading for more glamorous dressing room pics (haha) and tell me what you bought in the comments!

1. Love your site!
2. LOVE Simply Vera Wang and LOFT.
3. My faves from LC have been the boyfriend blazer and the boyfriend jeans. I hope that they start making some items in petite because I really love the style but they are often too big/flowyfor someone 5'3".
4. I also gave you a shout out on my blog the other day!

I loved this line but when I tried it on, I found everything was HUGE. Couldn't fit into the XS's or 0's at all, and I'm not a twig (5'6", 125 pounds). I wish they would adjust the sizing because I loved a lot of pieces but looked ridiculous in it.

I'm surprised that I like so many of the pieces...Kohl's is really stepping it up lately.

Wow, I really really like those jeans.

Hey, how did the jeans fit? Are they true to size? Or are they too junior size-ish?

I'm thinking about ordering them online because I have a strong feeling my store won't have them.

Hmm looks like I tried the 6 and i'm usually a 4 or 6. The 6 was a slightly relaxed fit (which felt good since they are bf style). The 4 might have been tighter but I didnt try them on. Jeans are tricky, so I'd recommend ordering 2 or 3 sizes and then returning the ones that don't fit. Wish I could be more helpful but jeans are tricky, I usually try 5 to 10 pairs before I find "the ones"!

I already own the skinny dark denim from this collection and they do run true to size, very comfortable and look all around great. Beware, they do stretch out after you wear them for about an hour, but still a good pair of jeans. Great review!

I also like LC. I bought the lace pocket woven top (same color you are trying on in, the grey, and the black sequin jacket.
This weekend was a big Kohl's sale. I had to take advantage! The new Vera stuff is great too!

OOh have to get over there and see for myself! I like that cami!

On the basis of the pics in your earlier post, I headed to Kohl's this weekend to check out the LC collection. I was so surprised to like it so much! It was decimated, of course, not a ruffle cami or BF blazer to be had! But I have been wanting one of those ruffle skirts in light pink ever since I saw them at UO, and this one fits great! I also got the sequin cardi and a cotton black cardi with pyramid stud buttons and a chiffon-trim placket. LOVE! I also loved the cream colored mini dress with the overlay of sequins, but ended up not getting it. The sequin cami does a cool slouchy thing that will look great with skinny jeans. Thanks for bringing this line to my attention!

I checked it out this weekend too and while I didn't buy anything, everything seemed very well constructed and most of it was pretty! The only thing I came close to trying on was the boyfriend jeans -- they look great on you! Ultimately I didn't want to spend $29 or whatever the sale price was on those, so I didn't try them on.

Some of her stuff is just hit or miss. I did however check out the Liberty of London at Target and got several pieces from that. The fit in my opinion was so much better than some of the past collections.

I never liked Khols before, but now I want to go! I loveeee her clothing line. It's so me!

Lol, I love your "do not style it like this" comment! Great post. I've been wanting to see some reviews/photos of her line so thanks!

I went and tried on the blue dress and it fit horrible! it was totally uneven and unflattering :-( which is a bummer b/c it looks cute on the hanger. I also tried on the sequined one. cute but was already very snaged. Cute pieces but all and all i thought the fit was terrible. :-(

I agree with Gina; I tried on several things and the fit was ridiculously bad. Like Halloween costume bad. I'm 5'8", size 6 with a shortish waist and hips -- ladies of like type beware.

I'm off to try on the BF jeans today. I put 2 sizes on hold just in case. I hope they work!

I am totally in love with this line. I tried on nearly every piece that my Kohls had and bought a dress, the skinny jeans, the ruffled skirt and several shirts. I did find that the pieces ran a bit large because I am usually a small but had to buy XS in everything. But I still love it all!

Im usually a size Medium.. but not sure what would fit my frame with LCs Line? ?! :-/ Im 36 bust and 29 inch waist. No boobs tho, Would the Large be too big??!
