Jason Wu for Target: First Look

T Magazine has a first look at two pieces from Jason Wu's upcoming collaboration with Target, including a gamine chic sailor striped dress ($40) and structured two-tone satchel ($50). The collection is inspired by French New Wave films and the actress Jean Seberg. "My goal was not to duplicate anything from my main collection," says Wu. "Instead I designed completely new clothes and accessories that reflect my taste and have a voice of their own."

Unfortunately I wasn't invited to the press preview this time around (Target's PR told me it was an accident) so I can't speak to any of the other pieces. We'll just have to wait and see! The two items shown above are totally my style so I'm eager to see more.

Have you forgiven Target for the Missoni debacle? I suppose I have, I can't stay angry with Target for very long, apparently. Are you ready to shop Jason Wu come February 5th?

Love the dress and can't wait to see the rest of the line. I actually got some really great Missoni stuff but I had to work SUPER hard for it!

How exciting and I hope this time my local Target brings enough merchandise so I can get my hands on that little pretty dress. The Missoni event at my local Target sucks badly because they didnt bring enough :-(

As an apology for not receiving some of the Missoni items I ordered from Target.com I just recently was given a $25 gift card from them, so I have certainly forgiven!!

Jason Wu is a great designer. I'll definitely check it out but I try not to get my hopes up on these Target collaborations because I am usually disappointed.
