5 Floral-Inspired Summer Outfits Under $200 for Every Persona

Floral inspired outfit ideas for summer {on a budget!}
One of my favorite parts of summer is the beautiful blooms that come with the warmer weather. Flowers are coming into season not only in nature but also in your wardrobe, and the best part about flowers is that there are so many different ways to wear them. You can go out in full-on bloom, or you can downplay the look with just hints of petals here and there. Whether your style is sporty, chic or full-on femme, it’s absolutely easy to rock the floral trend this summer, especially with the floral-inspired outfits below, and better yet, the five looks below are all under $200!

Look 1: Sporty

If you like the floral trend, but your style is more edgy, it’s still super easy to freshen up your wardrobe with some floral touches. All you need to do is pair up some black shorts with a graphic French-inspired t-shirt and a black based handbag. Then to add some summertime to your outfit, finish off your look with flower print sneakers and sunglasses featuring flowers. It’s so simple and totally understated!

Look 2: C'est Chic

Maybe you’re looking for a way to add floral elements to a more sophisticated outfit - totally doable! Start your outfit with a sleek black LBD, or in this case, LBR (little black romper). Then add your florals in the form of chic laser-cut flats - so modern! You can also add a little bling to your outfit with a crystal flower headband. Finish the look with a glam metallic clutch.

Look 3: Boho Darling

Another great way to incorporate florals into your wardrobe is by using it to add a pop of color. Take some basics like navy pants and a white crochet top, and then add touches of color and spice with floral-print heels. Craving even more color? Toss in a clutch bag with a bold floral pattern that’s not too matchy. Finish off the look with a straw hat that just screams summer.

Look 4: Romantic

If you’re all about the floral trend and just want to rock it already, then this style is for you, especially if you like romantic touches! For this outfit, find a great floral print skirt...something full of blooms (I stuck with pastels). To let your skirt take center-stage, find a neutral top - a crop top paired with a high-waisted skirt looks so fresh right now and creates an hourglass figure. For accessories, I couldn't resist adding a flower-bedazzled clutch, but showed (some) restraint with a simple wedge!

Look 5: Classic with a Twist

Here's a floral print look that could work for the office with a blazer and closed-toe shoes, or on the weekend alone with flats. I'm loving the artsy, abstract print of this Metaphor dress at sears.com. Pair it with some strappy black sandals and a versatile two-toned tote. Abstract flower earrings add a touch of sparkle. It’s classic with a new twist and so easy to do.

Day to night floral outfit - love that dress, can't believe it's from Sears!

Love all of those looks! My signature is boho-prep, which sounds as though it's a contradiction, but it works. Probably think Classic, #6, but with an armful of bracelets & a watch, topped with a leather jacket or a lacy wrap, and I love the Steve Madden wedge in the Romantic look, #4. If it was #3, Boho, I'd probably do booties, beaded bangles, and a slouchy leather bag. J'adore the graphic tee in Sporty, #1, but it's hard to find something cute in plus--they still throw some in polyester or other chemically-based fabric that won't breathe. Great outfits!

I adore number 4 - the romantic look is definitely my style!
