Introducing For Love 21

The day we've been waiting for has arrived: Forever 21 just launched a new section of their online store called For Love 21 (www.forlove21.com), which features cheap & chic jewelry, handbags, accessories, sunglasses, stuff for the home and travel, and gifts. I love what I'm seeing (an orchid hair clip for $4.80! a beaded leather cuff for $16.80! a suede fringe hobo for $34.80!) and I think it's a great move for the company. I won't have to shop anywhere else, ever again! Maybe that's going a little too far, but I am just really excited at the moment. I'm going to keep browsing all the cool stuff (a turquoise and silver cuff for $8.80! a straw fedora for $12.80! a Miso Pretty coin purse for $4.80!)...let me know what you think, too.

Budget Beauty: The Best Blush

LOreal True Match Blush

Nothing can give your face instant color and a healthy, radiant glow quite like the perfect blush, and that's why I'm dedicating this week's budget skincare post to my all-time favorite blush: L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Blush.

This product and shade (I wear Neutral/Innocent Flush) was personally recommended to me by none other than Reggie Wells during my stint at Harpo, who just so happens to be Oprah's makeup artist. Yes, I'm name dropping but it won't happen again. (No other names to drop.) And I mention this simply because it just goes to show that sometimes a little expert advice goes a long way. I don't think I would ever have picked a color this orange-y for my fair complexion, but ya know what? It's perfect. So that's point number one: True Match blush comes in 12 different shades, so you have a good chance of finding one that's right for you.

Another great thing about this blush is that it goes on ever-so-lightly, but not so light that you can't see it. I don't even have to tap off the excess powder before applying (I still do out of habit, but it's really unnecessary.) You can build it up for evening, or just do a quick pass for bright color that lasts all day.

Luxe vs. Less: The Ombre Tank

Something we budget babes know well is that you shouldn't pay a fortune for fashion fads. Case in point: The ombre tank. Sure, it's hot this season, but what about 3 months from now? What if we're all dip-dyed-out and on to bigger, better things? If we buy into this trend with the chic tank on the right from New York & Co., for just $32.95, we will have zero regrets. If, on the other hand, we splurge on Theory's ombre tank on the left for $180.00, we will be ashamed of ourselves. Be savvy and don't say we didn't warn you.

Less on right: City Style Ombre Tank (also available in white/gray fade) at NYandCompany.com, $32.95
