Beauty Review: Foot Petals Shoe Inserts

Back in 2007, my sister Chantal discovered Foot Petals shoe inserts and loved them so much, she wrote a review for my then fledgling blog (here). She was really impressed with the product design, functionality and price, so why is it that I had never tried these out myself until just this past week? Beats me! Keep reading for my review (hint: I should have listened to my little sis looong ago!)

Richard Chai Spring 2012 Backstage Beauty

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week began yesterday in New York, and my first official stop (after picking up my press pass) was backstage at Richard Chai's Spring 2012 show, where Avon Global Stylist Tippi Shorter and her team were hard at work creating the hair looks (balloons were involved) and MAC makeup artists led by James Kaliardos worked their beauty magic.

Beauty Review: Sublime Mousse by Healthy Look L'Oreal Paris

I envy my sister Chantal's ability to do her own hair, from at-home coloring to perfectly layered cuts to chic going-out looks. Yup, she does it all! So when she tested out Sublime Mousse from L'Oreal, I was really curious to hear how things went. Keep reading to find out. —BB

While L'Oreal Paris Healthy Look Sublime Mousse Haircolor has been on the shelves for a while now, I found myself hesitating to try it because I was never really all that impressed with their selection of colors. I always felt it was a little limited and after many, many hair color faux pas I really wasn't in the mood to end up with orange, or silver, or purple hair (yes, purple, and no I wasn't trying for purple).

Beauty Review: 100 Percent Pure Mint White Tea Skin Care

For the past month, I've replaced my daily skin care routine with complimentary products from 100% Pure, a natural, organic cosmetics and skincare line. I'm always on the look out for affordable, effective products that have a limited number of unnecessary or potentially harmful chemicals, so I was eager to give this line a try. Find out what I thought after the jump!

Off the Rack: Sally Hansen Salon Effects Halloween Collection

During a quick trip to Walgreens this afternoon, I spied 5 new limited-edition styles from Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips that are perfect for Halloween. There's Hot Wired, a slime green with black barbed-wire design; Wishnets, a blood red with black fishnet design; Ghoulie Girl, a black background with orange and white ghosts; Numbskull, a black and white skull-and-crossbones design; and Spun for You, a metallic silver with black spiderwebs. For about $10 a pop, these nail strips are just about the cheapest, easiest way to get in the holiday spirit or just accessorize your fall looks with something fun and edgy. I'll probably go back for Wishnets or Spun for You, which will look drop-dead gorgeous with a little black dress and red lipstick. Which style is your favorite?
