This afternoon's Rebecca Minkoff SS 2014 runway show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center had a huge Latin influence with bursts of vibrant colors and strong prints, texture and embroidery and was highlighted by an incredible live performance by Janelle Monae and her band as a back drop to the show.

The collection featured tailored blazers and shorts, flowy dresses and tops and had a bohemian but sophisticated feel. My favorite look was the printed dress and printed vest with leather trim combo. I loved the presentation and the vibe of the event and would love to get my hands on some of these pieces!

Last night Target and Phillip Lim hosted a private shopping event in celebration of 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target before the collection launches on Sept. 15. Contributor Vanessa Williams Stevenson represented for The Budget Babe and said it was an absolute madhouse! Celebs in attendance such as Jessica Alba and Solange wore pieces from the line, giving us some additional inspiration beyond the lookbook as far as styling and how the clothes might look in real life. The "Boom" sweatshirt is growing on me...
