Sears Fashion Fall 2014 Collection Preview

A look from the Sears Fall 2014 fashion preview in NYC

Earlier this month, Sears presented their Fall 2014 collection featuring brands such as Kardashian Kollection, Bongo, US Polo & Assn, Canyon River Blues and more. In addition, Sears has partnered with Seventeen magazine to create a full line of clothing, shoes and accessories. As always, Sears offers an array of stylish apparel and accessories at affordable prices. Click through to see the photos I took at the preview - the blush pink dress with lace insets (above) was among my favorite pieces. And the critter sweaters for kids?! Let's just say I wish they were making those in adult sizes!

Off the Rack: May Sandal Highlights at Marshalls

Cute sandals at Marshalls

I always wait until the last minute to do my summer shopping because I can't get in the mood for sandals and shorts until the weather is actually warm and the sun is shining, and well, that time arrived this past Friday - so I headed to the Marshalls Shoe Mega Shop with the single-minded goal of purchasing comfortable sandals for everyday wear. On first glance, I didn't see anything appealing, but upon closer inspection, I started to see some good stuff...Michael Kors, Coach, Sam Edelman, Dolce Vita, Vince Camuto, Steve Madden. Great brands, even better prices. I didn't have much time to shop so I honed in on a pair of brown leather DV by Dolce Vita gladiator flats and scooped them up for $34.99. They're already proving to be so comfy and go with just about everything. Love. I would have bought some gold oxfords by Sam Edelman ($39.99) and nude leather ballet flats by Lucky Brand (only $30) but they didn't have my size. Good or bad, depending on how you look at it!

Site Spotlight: Shop Hope's

Shop Hope's affordable fashion boutique with Southern charm

Aside from my personal blog and writing for Budget Babe, I have immersed myself in another fashion project that I have quickly become passionate about. I always loved Shop Hope's, a southern boutique, for their amazing clothes, shoes, and jewelry. When Hope's was looking for reps, I quickly jumped on the opportunity for a new experience. From that point on, I started loving Hope's not only for their merchandise, but for their positive messages to women, their sweet staff, and drive for success. I love supporting a family-run business, and it's amazing to be a part of the Hope's family.

The Well-Styled Bar Cart in 5 Steps

How to style a bart cart two ways

In this weekly column, I'm bringing you chic home décor products and ideas that won't break the bank! This week, I’m sharing 5 tips for achieving the perfectly styled bar cart. For more home décor inspiration, visit my blog, A Vintage Splendor.

The bar cart is likely the most popular home accessory right now. Despite the influx of beautifully inspired bar carts on the web, I still get calls and emails from friends and readers asking for help to style their bar carts. I have two bar carts and they serve stylish and functional pieces in the home. One is used as a mobile bar, of course, while the other is used in lieu of the boring old display case in our guest room. “But I don’t want to spend a fortune!” is the first thing I hear from friends. I agree, you don’t have to spend a fortune. Your best bet to snag a great cart is at the local thrift store, but for those of you who prefer shopping glamorously a la Target, you have affordable and stylish options from accessories to libations to the bar cart itself.
