I love maxi dresses, but my husband insists they make even the most well-heeled of us look like crunchy-granola hippies. Think this look can be sufficiently glammed up with accessories?

ha! granted, my bf says he's not a fan of the maxi dress because the skirt is too long (defeats the purpose, he says) - but what do they know?!? i think they can look very glam - add a belt, pendant necklace, metallic wedges if you must have height. i'm envisioning plenty of fabulousness...

OK, I'll give it a go. After all, those dresses are EVERYWHERE, so it's not like I'll have to blow the wad to try one out. Plus, my beloved hubs often scoffs at clothes when I buy them, then later compliments me on the same items when I wear them. He's got a good eye overall, but he's a Gemini: thoroughly changeable. ;-)

Do maxi dresses look good too to those short of height? They are so glam! but just wondering if they look good too with those short in height. I love to have them but i dont want to look funny :-|

Absolutely! Tons of celebs under 5'4" look fab in maxi dresses, I'm thinking Kylie Minogue, Eva Longoria, Paula Abdul... Not sure how tall Nicole Richie and Lauren Conrad are, but they're definitely on the shorter side and they look great in maxis. The long length can actually serve to elongate the body, just make sure it's fitted on top and doesn't have too much volume. Wear with heels if you'd like more height. Good luck!
