The easiest way to stand out has to be with bright color! As long as you aren't required to wear a white dress to your graduation, go bold with something like this fuchsia number from Express:

Last week my husband got a great Woot.com deal on a refurbished LCD monitor for my office and suggested I paint it white - so I did, and it turned out remarkably well! I've been dreaming of a sleek white Mac monitor for some time but it's just not in my budget, so a homemade white monitor is the next best thing. Here's what I did:
