Budget Beauty Buy of the Week: COVERGIRL + Olay The Depuffer

Budget Beauty Buy of the Week

In this weekly column, I’m bringing you my favorite budget-friendly beauty products that are available online and in-store. Also make sure to check out my blog, HonestlyJamie.com for even more beauty product reviews and tips.

COVERGIRL + Olay The Depuffer is one of those concealers that just makes me happy. For one, I love a good brand collaboration and since Olay teamed up with COVERGIRL to create “The Depuffer” to combat dark circles and puffiness around the eyes, I’m really into it. Olay brings a little of their rejuvenating serum to the table plus cucumber extract to soothe puffiness while the metal tip applies the product in a massage-like way. It’s super cooling and refreshing to use, while also still doing the actual job of hiding dark circles. It’s a great buy, trust me, especially at only $11!

Neutrogena makeup removing wipes review

In this weekly column, I’m bringing you my favorite budget-friendly beauty products that are available online and in-store. Also make sure to check out my blog, HonestlyJamie.com for even more beauty product reviews and tips.

I take my makeup removing wipes pretty seriously around here since I’m a big fan of the nightly face cleanse. I’ve tried them all and, honestly, as someone with dry, sensitive skin I have to be pickier than most when it comes to makeup wipes or really ANY kind of makeup removal. So what’s my go-to? The Neutrogena Night Calming Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes are my absolute FAVORITE. Not only do they do an amazing job at taking off all my makeup from the day, but I love that they’re insanely calming and hydrating which, let’s be honest, we all need after a stressful work day. The calming fragrance is what makes these really unique, and, they only cost $8 for a pack of 25. Done deal.

Budget Beauty Buy of the Week: Yes to Cucumbers Gentle Milk Cleanser

Yes to Cucumbers Gentle Milk Cleanser Review

In this weekly column, I’m bringing you my favorite budget-friendly beauty products that are available online and in-store. Also make sure to check out my beauty and lifestyle blog, HonestlyJamie.com, for even more beauty product reviews and tips.

The Yes to Cucumbers Gentle Milk Cleanser is the ultimate cleanser for ALL skin types, but especially for sensitive skin. Guys, this stuff is not only great at taking off my makeup, but it’s also 98% natural, cruelty-free and only costs $9…you absolutely can’t beat this. The gentle formula combines soy proteins and green tea (both super calming) to cleanse your face, all while not stripping your skin of its natural moisture. This is a good thing, I promise.

Beauty Splurge vs. Steal of the Week: MAC Coral Lipstick

MAC Orange Lipstick Splurge vs. Save

In this weekly column, I’m bringing you my favorite budget-friendly beauty products (and their high-end equivalents!) that are available online and in-store. This week, we’re chatting coral lipstick (!). Also make sure to check out my blog, HonestlyJamie.com for even more beauty product reviews and tips.

We all know how good MAC lipstick really is (like, really, really good) and their Pro LongWear Lip Crème in Good To Go is certainly no exception. I’ve been looking for a fun coral lipstick for summer but, eh, I’m not really willing to shell out $18 for a color that I’ll probably only wear a few times…but, luckily for me (and you!), I found a super close dupe: Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Sweet Nectar is VERY close…not exactly the same, but close. The Milani version isn’t quite as bright but it still gives me the fun, summery coral lip that I wanted, and for only $5.50. Done deal.

Beauty Splurge vs. Steal of the Week: Bobbi Brown Finishing Powder

Splurge vs Steal: Bobbi Brown Finishing Powder

In this weekly column, I’m bringing you my favorite budget-friendly beauty products (and their high-end equivalents!) that are available online and in-store. This week, we’re chatting finishing powder (!). Also make sure to check out my blog, HonestlyJamie.com for even more beauty product reviews, tips and tricks.

Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder is not only pretty to look at, but it also serves as a brightening pick-me-up for your face. The powder illuminates your skin and adds a little healthy glow, even when your skin is looking a little, errr, drab…but the price? No bueno. I have no problem spending money on a product that’s totally necessary but getting a little glow is NOT worth $52, at least not to me.

The alternative? e.l.f. Studio Tone Correcting Powder not only looks almost exactly like the Bobbi Brown version, but it also has the same results! The colors blend together seamlessly and work to neutralize redness and also brighten you up, a la Bobbi.
