Marsala has elicited so much vibrant discussion for being such a muted hue as soon as it was announced as Pantone's Color of the Year. Although it's not loved by the design community as much as last year's Radiant Orchid, it is much easier to incorporate this hue at home. Marsala is a reddish-brown that will translate well to interiors and decor because it's a rich and inviting hue that commands attention. If your holiday schedule is anything like mine, then you're on the home stretch with holiday parties coming up in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully, you've bought all your gifts, wrapped them up, and are enjoying them decorating your home. Hostess gifts always seem a last ditch effort with many of us rushing to the wine shop for a bottle. I know, you can't go wrong with wine, but this year I have another game plan: gifts that give back.
