Sonia Rykiel Pour H&M Behind-the-Scenes Video

For the first time the entire collection from the up-coming Sonia Rykiel pour H&M knitwear collection for women and girls, which arrives in around 200 stores on February 20, 2010, is displayed in an intimate video. Sonia and Nathalie Rykiel and Margareta van den Bosh take the viewer behind the scenes to reveal details about the new collection—what they love about it and why they designed it the way they did. Upon watching this video, I learned I've been mispronouncing Rykiel's name this whole time. How awkward! Love the stripes, but will the impact be lost if you don't have the red hair to go along with it?

Beauty Review: (seed) Grape Seed Enriched Body Care Products

by Kiki Bella
I'm a fan of the eco-friendly green movement we've seen lately in beauty care, and have found yet another awesome company to let you all know about. It's called Seed, and they recently sent me three new complimentary products to try out: (seed) Nourishing Body Lotion in Invigorating Citrus Blend scent; (seed) Conditioning Hair Shampoo Bar, Unscented; and (seed) Moisturizing Body Soap in Invigorating Citrus Thyme.

Our all-over-face look is classy and timeless for any Holiday party. After evening out your skin tone (here we used Ulta Mineral Liquid Foundation in Light 01), brush a warm glow of color on your cheeks in a sparkly tangerine. Try Trendy by Fusion of Color. Lips go bronze with Clinique Different Lipstick in Think Bronze. For day just brush on some mascara and you're ready to go; for a nighttime look add more drama with a sparkly taupe eyeshadow all over the lid (try Fusion of Color eyeshadow in In Vogue), and a dark brown sparkle shadow on the outside edges and up the crease (we used the dark brown sparkly shadow in the limited-edition eyeshadow palette by Sonia Kashuk for Target). Line the upper and lower lids with dark brown smudged eyeliner (Avon Smooth Minerals Eye Liner in Earth is perfect for this) and finish with a great brown or black mascara (I love L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black).

Try out one of the hottest makeup trends this year with a purple or green eye. Look for tones that will compliment your skin, or try these finds that we think look great on a variety of skin tones and eye colors.

For the purple eye start off with Ulta Loose Mineral Eyeshadow in Wisteria, across the lid from lashes to slightly above the crease. Gently blend in a darker color, we like Maples and Mums by Everyday Minerals, and work from the outside edge of the eye along the crease. Line the lower lid with a sparkly purple liner; we used Ulta's eyeliner in Raisin. Liquid eyeliner (we used Revlon ColorStay in Black Brown) looks sleek and polished and isn't as hard as it looks, just don't have six coffees before trying to apply. If you like the cat eye, which is very in this year, carefully sweep the applicator up and away from the eye at the end. Finish with your favorite mascara.

Make everyone else green with envy when you show up with these sexy eyes. Brush a sparkly green shadow from lashes to crease (shown is Too Cool by Fusion of Color) on the upper lid, and also smudge a bit of green eyeshadow right under your lower lashes. Add a shimmering gold shadow from the crease to the brow (here with Physician's Formula in Gold) and highlight the brow bone with a sparkling white powder (we used the Sonia Kashuk limited edition palette sparkly white). Line the lower lid with a creamy black pencil (try Avon's Smooth Mineral Eye Liner in Onyx) and smudge with your ring finger. Line the upper lid with black liquid eyeliner (try Maybelline Ultra Liner in Black) and finish with your favorite mascara.

With all strong eye looks, it's recommended you keep your lips neutral. Clear gloss looks sexy with a strong eye, and you won't have to worry about getting lipstick on your holiday drinks!

Beauty Review: Sonia Kashuk for Target Holiday 2009 Collection

Sonia Kashuk for Target Holiday 2009 Collection Review

Looking for a cute gift for your friends or sisters? Head on over to Target, where you can pick up something pretty and shiny from Sonia Kashuk for under $20. This holiday season, Sonia has come out with a limited-edition collection of lovely, black-sparkly cosmetic cases, brush sets, and an eye shadow compact. Ideal for any lady, the Twist of Fate six piece brush set, the Glitz and Glam four piece brush set or Beauty Junkie Cosmetic bag would be the perfect gift idea for someone who already has a great collection of makeup, and could always use some more storage space or great tools. I am particularly fond of the Twist of Fate Brush set myself, as the case the brushes come in looks like an adorable Holiday party clutch (dare I say you could use it for a party in a pinch?).

And speaking of Holiday parties, while you're perusing the Sonia Kashuk section you might also want to pop a Starry Eyes Metal Frame Eye Palette into the cart for your own Holiday look repertoire. A perfect do-it-all eye set for the Holiday season, this great palette comes with all the colors you need to create sultry, sexy and sparkly Holiday fun. I'm particularly fond of the three top shades, which add drama and glitz to any look (without being tacky or garish). This little palette is also really great to throw in your bag in order to change up your look after work, and it comes covered in a great shiny black sparkle case.

I was really pleased when I received these complimentary pieces for trial, and definitely felt like they would make excellent gifts for any lady on my list. The brushes work great, the makeup looks fab, and the black sparkly cases are perfect for the season, adding a little glam to the makeup box. These are the types of affordable gifts I'd be proud to give and receive at a fraction of what one would pay at department store beauty counters.

Beauty Review: RAWMinerals 7-Piece Discovery Kit

The best way to get into a new makeup routine is through a comprehensive starter kit. Usually these kits are the best bang for your buck since you get enough of everything you need, and sometimes you try out products you never would have picked up separately. RAWMinerals gifted me with just such a kit—the RAWMinerals 7-Piece Discovery Kit ($180), which includes everything you need to get started with mineral makeup, including two mineral foundations, Mineral Glow, Active Veil SPF 18, a foundation brush, a concealer brush, a multi-tasking retractable brush, and a DVD titled "Getting Started."
