Back in August we shared the news that Lauren Conrad would be unveiling her first runway collection for Kohl's during New York Fashion Week - did anyone watch the livestream on September 9? I have to confess, I forgot to watch (didn't see much buzz before the show) but I did check out the collection at my local Kohl's store this past weekend. That's right, this line went straight from the runway to the racks - and it's all on sale, too, priced from $27 to $150 (additional pieces online go up to $224).

Chrissy Teigen's airport style is on point for fall, as she rocks a floor length print duster with a simple white top, black leggings and sexy open-toe booties. Her floppy wool hat is the must-have accessory for fall (I've already collected one in navy, gray and black including the look for less that I've shown here from Walmart - it's just $13.97!) Earlier I shared some photos of celebrities wearing Thakoon for Kohl's, now here's my review complete with dressing room selfies! In many ways I have no business commenting on fit seeing as how I'm 30 weeks pregnant, but I can still comment on the styling and quality. Surprisingly many of the pieces were very flattering as "maternity" tops - I'm not sure that's the kind of endorsement DesigNation is looking for but it's true.

The Thakoon for Kohl's collection launched September 10, and this weekend I had a chance to try on some pieces at my local store. I'll be posting my review later today but first, I wanted to share these celebrity images to give you an idea of how the pieces can be styled. Fashion requires imagination, and had you simply seen these piece online or on a rack, you might not give them a second look. Today I popped into Walmart to see if they had any good toddler shoes for fall when my toddler fell asleep in the stroller. These stroller naps are starting to get very expensive because when baby sleeps, mama will shop. And shop. And shop! Someone stop me (or help me time these naps better, one or the other). I stumbled upon these amazing ponchos (shawls/ruanas/whatever-they're-called) for just $13.97 and ended up buying both of the plaid ones (here and here).
