Off the Rack: Fall Trend Spotting at T.J.Maxx

Last week, the LO and I went to T.J.Maxx to see what's new for fall. My self-appointed mission was to scout out the latest trends, and there were many. Keep reading for my visual guide to the latest fall retail trends as seen at TJ's - which ones are you loving? Buying? Totally not into?

T.J.Maxx Launches Online Store

Back in February, I warned you T.J.Maxx was going to launch e-commerce and, well, that fateful day has finally arrived. Everyone's favorite off-price retailer has entered the online shopping marketplace at www.tjmaxx.com, so you can stalk your favorite brands at big discounts online from the comfort of your computer or smartphone.
The new e-store is broken down into "just in", "women", "shoes", "handbags" and "the runway." There's a modest selection of items in each category (right now, 353 dress, 88 boots and 126 crossbody bags). I'm seeing lots of the same designers that I see in stores, a mix of recognizable and not-so-recognizable brands. Cynthia Rowley, Jessica Simpson, Kenneth Cole. In the runway section, I'm seeing designers I don't typically get at my local TJ's, like DVF and Roberto Cavalli. One downside is that you can't search by designer (go ahead, try it).
Some highlights I'm noticing include these Dolce Vita "Jamala" leather booties ($79.99), an emerald green DVF blouse ($99.99), and cognac Nanette Lepore satchel ($199.99).
The prices are good but I'm not whipping out my credit card just yet. I still prefer shopping at T.J.Maxx in person at this point, but it's good to know the online option exists.
What are your initial impressions of tjmaxx.com?
Target and PETER PILOTTO Announce 2014 Spring Collaboration
If you don't know the name "Peter Pilatto", you will now: Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, the London-based designing duo behind PETER PILOTTO, are teaming up with Target for a womenswear collection debuting Feb. 9, 2014.
Let's Discuss: The Spectacular 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Launch

I wake up at least two or three times per night to nurse my 3-month-old son. Pros: I was up at 3:00 am when the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection started to appear on target.com. Cons: I was up at 3:00 am when the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection started to appear on target.com. After all was said and done, I had purchased 3 bags and 1 dress in two sizes. You'd think by morning I would be thinking clearer but no, I had a friend pick me up another bag in person when she went shopping at the stores in our area. (She got me the yellow Pashli lookalike. I owe her big-time.)
