3 Meaningful Gift Ideas this Season at Marshalls, T.J.Maxx and HomeGoods

Everyone hopes to find the perfect gifts for loved ones that will make them light up...the sort of gifts that show you truly care. That's why this season, Marshalls challenged me to pick out special gifts for the deserving people on my list. Because great gifts don't have to be expensive! To complete this holiday gift roundup, I stopped over at my local Marshalls (which has become a weekly occurrence for me as of late) armed with a gift card courtesy of the company. Both my mom and I honestly do love Marshalls, T.J.Maxx and HomeGoods a whole lot, mainly because it feels like a treasure hunt. I’m always pleasantly surprised by something else with every corner I turn. I think that even during the hour that I was in the store, the staff added more lovely gifts to the shelves (which of course I had to look through again!) So, sit back, relax, and get your wrapping hands ready because these gifts are about to be everything you need for everyone in your life.

I know it’s been a while since the last capsule wardrobe post, but buckle up because this one is going to be great. I’m ready for Thanksgiving and beyond. Centered around 3 fabulous items under $50, this 7-outfit capsule will get you ready for dressing to impress during any festive gatherings over the next few months. 7 Easy and Stylish Halloween Costume Ideas to DIY This Year

Seven Last Minute Halloween Costumes That Are Cheap and Stylish
Happy (almost) Halloween! With the most collectively creative day of the year upon us, it’s a great time to have a budget. Sure, anyone can have a great costume when they’re shelling out hundreds of dollars on replicas and such. Why do that when you can have a capsule costume wardrobe? You can be fabulously creative with just a few basic pieces. My own costume is TBA, unless my friends agree to do ‘Hanks’oween with me (where we all dress up as Tom Hanks characters). I just really want to be an astronaut. If that falls through though, I have plenty of last-minute capsule costume ideas to choose from. Enjoy!

Capsule Wardrobe: Free People October Catalog

Free People October catalog
Is it sweater weather yet? I’m counting down the days to the short-lived, crisp weather that immediately precedes the disgusting slush of winter. The Free People October 2015 catalog perfectly captures that crisp, not soggy, feeling of the fall. With the cozy sweaters and luxurious fabrics, the lookbook just transforms me to some cabin in the middle of nowhere surrounded by trees. So, browse the catalog, soak in some inspiration (and do some shopping, no judgement here), then sit back, relax, and enjoy this week’s capsule, comprised of pieces all under $50.

Capsule Wardrobe: Primetime Emmys

Awards shows are my thing. I get excited just thinking about celebs being star struck by other celebs. It’s like a night of inside jokes that the public gets to watch (cue Michael Scott, “I love inside jokes. I’d love to be a part of one someday”). I love watching people of influence taking a stand for a cause close to their hearts. My absolute favorite part about awards shows, however, is the fashion. Watching the stars walk down the red carpet feels like walking through a museum. I love that what they’re wearing has something to say: whether they’re paying homage to a character or even, in some cases, purposefully revolting against that particular character (for example, anytime that January Jones walks the red carpet). Even if you don’t have a black tie event to attend, you can still rock these trends and look like an award-winning actress. Get ready for a week’s worth of Emmy goodness.
