Capsule Wardrobe: Squad Goals

Cute and affordable outfit ideas inspired by Taylor Swift's girl squad
…And we’re back! I’m glad to be back with this week’s capsule wardrobe after a two-week hiatus. I hope all my capsulistas were as thrilled with this past week’s four-day work week as I was. To get you excited about this week’s 5-day week, I have a really great set of outfits for you. I may or may not have been inspired by a certain country pop-star turned ruler of the universe and her #girlsquad. It’s really too soon to tell. Without naming names, I decided that every day of this week will be inspired by one member of that alleged squad (giving us all #squadgoals). Also, in honor of New York’s Fashion Week, see if you can name them all (answers in the comments)!

Capsule Wardrobe: Adam Lippes for Target

Capsule Wardrobe
I hope everyone is excited for another week of fashionable, budget-friendly looks! So, as everyone knows, fall is right around the corner. Get ready for pumpkin spice raining from the sky. Do you know what else is exciting about fall? There’s another designer collaboration that'll make you want to swarm Target starting September 27. Adam Lippes for Target is, as cliché as it sounds, going to make everyone mad for plaid. As an inspiration sidebar, I thought that in honor of most everyone going back to school, I would create looks that would be classroom-friendly (shout out to my teacher friends!). Trust me, the Adam Lippes for Target pieces are more than just classroom-friendly, they’re run-the-world friendly. Let’s get this party started!

Capsule Wardrobe: Inspired by Marc Jacobs Fall 2015 RTW

Capsule Wardrobe
Hello my capsulistas! It’s time for my favorite time of the week: Fashion capsule overload. After last week’s very fun and cute, Wet Hot American Summer-inspired capsule, I thought that it would be a good time for some gritty fashion. So let’s roll up our (perfectly cuffed) sleeves and dive into these seven outfits I created inspired by the Marc Jacobs’ Fall ’15 ready-to-wear collection. Let’s get started!

Capsule Wardrobe: Wet Hot American Summer

Capsule Wardrobe
Welcome back to Fashion Capsule! In this weekly segment, I will show you how to style three items under $50 for an entire week’s worth of outfits. This week’s outfits were all inspired by Netflix’s new series, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, which (of course) I binge-watched. This series is a prequel to the cult hit, Wet Hot American Summer released in 2001. Disclaimer: Please keep in mind that these outfits were inspired by the dorky characters in this comedy. I wouldn’t recommend wearing these outfits outside of an ‘80’s summer camp movie! Also, spoiler alert: This post has some details about the show that might give away some plot twists and turns. No worries, however, this post won’t make the show any less fun and enjoyable for you. That being said, let’s get started!

Capsule Wardrobe: Inspired by Sally Hansen's 'Boho Chic' Nail Polish Collection

Capsule Wardrobe
Welcome back to Fashion Capsule (and my favorite part of each week)! In this weekly segment, I will show you how to style three items under $50 for an entire week’s worth of outfits. This week’s outfits were all inspired by the new Sally Hansen “Boho Chic” Miracle Gel collection. The seven colors are perfect for a summer festival-inspired capsule wardrobe. I normally am very hesitant with trying bold nail polish colors. My prior belief was that nail polish and underwear should follow the same color scheme: stick with either nude or black. This collection, however, was the perfect group of colors to pull me out of this funk. Let’s get started!
